Hi, I'M kelsey
I’m the artist, nature nerd, and person behind Acorn & Artisan.
I make colorful illustrated goods inspired by wildflowers, strange little creatures, very good bird names, and the tiny things outside that are easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention.
Before Acorn & Artisan, I studied and taught biology, so the natural world has always been part of how I notice things. That science background still shows up in the work sometimes as a carefully drawn native species, sometimes as a ridiculous bird joke, and often as both.
Acorn & Artisan grew from drawing as a creative outlet into a shop full of things meant to make everyday spaces feel more personal, more colorful, and a little less sensible.

Acorn & Artisan is for the tiny-joy collectors, wildflower stoppers, cool aunts, bird-joke enthusiasts, and people slowly replacing the beige things in their house with pieces that actually make them smile.
Here you’ll find colorful art prints, tea towels, mugs, stickers, enamel pins, keychains, bandanas, greeting cards, and other illustrated goods inspired by birds, wildflowers, wildlife, and the wonderfully weird side of nature.

Every Design Starts With a Drawing
Every Acorn & Artisan product begins as one of my original digital illustrations.
Most start with something I noticed, loved, researched, or found funny like a strangely named bird, a Texas wildflower, an insect that deserves more attention, or an idea that made me laugh while I was drawing.
From there, the artwork becomes something you can hang on a wall, carry on your keys, tie around your neck, stick on a water bottle, or leave sitting on the kitchen counter purely because it makes the room better.
The goal is never just to make another object. It’s to make something that feels specific enough that you see it and think, oh, that’s me.
