New Enamel Pins and Keychains Are Here: Meet the Fall Acorn & Artisan Collection
A few weeks ago, this entire collection existed as drawings on my iPad.
Now my studio is full of tiny reading animals, Texas wildlife, colorful cowgirl boots, moths, chickens, books, flowers, and more enamel than any reasonable person probably needs in one room.
The newest Acorn & Artisan enamel pins and keychains are officially here.
This collection is full of the kind of designs I love making most: colorful little objects inspired by nature, books, humor, and extremely specific interests.
In other words, the things that make someone stop scrolling and think:
Oh. That one is absolutely me.

Why I Keep Making Tiny Accessories
There is something very satisfying about adding personality to the things you already carry every day.
Your keys are practical.
Your backpack is practical.
Your jacket is practical.
But none of those things have to be boring.
A tiny enamel raccoon can announce that you would rather be reading. A roadrunner can turn an ordinary set of keys into a little piece of Texas wildlife. A moth pin can quietly identify you to every other person who also stops to inspect bugs under porch lights.
That is the sweet spot I keep coming back to with Acorn & Artisan.
Small things that are useful—or at least easy to use—but still feel personal.
New Bookish Enamel Pins
The bookish side of this launch may be the most specific.
Which is exactly why I love it.
Trashy Little Reader Raccoon
A raccoon.
A book.
A reading habit that has probably gotten slightly out of control.
The Trashy Little Reader Raccoon Enamel Pin is for the person whose nightstand is already full, whose TBR continues to grow anyway, and who considers “just one more chapter” a completely reasonable bedtime strategy.

Reading Opossum
Some people read quietly.
Some people read while ignoring everything else that needs to get done.
The Reading Opossum Enamel Pin belongs firmly in the second category.
It is colorful, bookish, slightly odd, and exactly the kind of tiny accessory that belongs on a tote bag already carrying three library books.

My TBR Has Lore
At some point, a to-be-read pile stops being a pile and becomes an ecosystem.
There are backstories.
There are forgotten preorders.
There are books you bought because someone on the internet described them in one sentence and apparently that was enough.
The My TBR Has Lore Enamel Pin is for that person.
We know her.
We may be her.
New Texas Enamel Pins and Keychains
One of the things that continues to influence my Texas designs is how much of the state gets left out of traditional Texas souvenirs.
Stars.
Longhorns.
Cowboy hats.
Repeat.
Meanwhile, there are roadrunners, prickly pear, wildflowers, moths, rabbits, bats, snakes, and an unbelievable amount of wildlife happening everywhere.
So this collection makes room for more of that Texas.
Texas Roadrunner & Prickly Pear
The Texas Roadrunner & Prickly Pear Enamel Pin and Keychain pair two of my favorite Texas subjects into one colorful little design.
It is recognizably Texas without needing a giant state outline stamped across it.

Texas White-Tailed Rabbit & Bluebonnet
A white-tailed rabbit surrounded by bluebonnets feels like exactly the kind of Texas souvenir I wanted to find when we moved here.
So naturally, I drew it.
The Texas White-Tailed Rabbit & Bluebonnet Enamel Pin and Keychain are for people who want their Texas gifts to include the wildlife and wildflowers that actually make the place interesting.

Cowgirl Boots, But Make Them Floral
The new cowgirl boot designs continue my ongoing belief that western accessories can handle significantly more flowers.
There are strawberry boots.
There are floral boots.
There are boots holding bouquets.
At this point, the boots may be developing their own ecosystem.

For the Moth People
You know who you are.
Some people see a moth outside and continue walking.
Other people immediately stop, crouch down, inspect it, possibly photograph it, and then tell someone about it later.
The Cosmic Moth Enamel Pin is for the second group.
It combines one of my favorite recurring nature subjects with the colorful, slightly magical feeling I keep coming back to in my illustrations.

Enamel Pin Packs for People Who Cannot Pick One
I understand that asking someone to choose one tiny character can be unreasonable.
So there are also curated three-pin packs.
One More Chapter Pin Pack
For the person whose personality is at least 40% books.
Main Character Energy Pack
A collection of some of the most recognizable bird characters from Acorn & Artisan.
Touch Grass Pin Pack
A colorful little group inspired by wildlife, wildflowers, and western details.
These make especially good gifts because they already feel like a complete little collection.
Gifts for Readers, Nature Lovers, Bird People and Extremely Specific Friends
One of my favorite things about this launch is that the designs are not generic.
They are for specific people.
The friend who always has a book.
The person who stops for moths.
The Texan who would rather have a roadrunner than another longhorn.
The bird person.
The chicken person.
The person whose tote bag already has six pins and absolutely has room for a seventh.
Those are the people I am drawing for.
Because the best gifts are usually not the things everyone would like.
They are the things that make one particular person say:
You saw this and thought of me, didn’t you?
Exactly.
