As the wax is heated and "lost", molten metal is poured in, taking the shape of the original model. Brass: Jewelers Brass is an alloy comparable in color to 10k gold. It is durable, waterproof, and slow tarnish. Our brass pieces are cared for the same way as sterling silver, and when finished with a stud post all posts/wires are 14k gold fill.

At the core of gold fill is high quality jewelers’ brass which is then coated in at least 5% 14K gold that will never rub or flake off.
